Hong Kong, September 18, 2008 - For the eighth consecutive year, discerning frequent travelers in the Asia-Pacific region have voted United Airlines the "Best North American Airline" in Business Traveller Asia-Pacific's Travel Awards 2008.
"It is a tremendous honor for United to be recognized over so many years as the best among our peers by such a prominent industry publication and their travel-savvy readers," says Mark Schwab, Vice President, Pacific, United Airlines. "The Asia-Pacific region has always been an important part of United's global strategy and we will continue to work hard to bring quality products and services to customers in this region. Many of our customers are already enjoying our new international premium travel experience, including lie-flat United Business seats that are leaving them energized and ready for whatever awaits them at their destination."
Now in its 17th year, the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Travel Awards is one of the Asia-Pacific region's most prestigious accolades for top industry players. Each year, the magazine polls frequent travelers from across the region to hear their opinions on airlines and travel industry services. The 2008 results are verified and compiled by independent global market research company, Synovate.
